Attractive small town with good shops including butcher, baker, chemist, newsagent, hairdresser, clothes shops, supermarket and ironmonger.

The Spey Larder stocks fine food and wines.
They will make sandwiches for a picnic while you wait. There are seats down by the river.

Walker’s Shortbread factory shop is open to visitors. It is at the edge of the town towards Craigellachie.
Aberlour Hotel has a nice restaurant.
The Mash Tun pub serves real ale and good meals.
The Dowans Hotel above Aberlour provides good meals.
The clock tower is all that is left of the former Aberlour Orphanage. Speyside High School now occupies most of the former site.

Main Shopping Centre.
Half-day closing, Wednesday, although only the older small shops now close.
The Laichmoray Hotel by the second roundabout on the way into the town from Rothes does excellent fish as also does the Sunninghill Hotel.
